What is a "Faith Promise?"
A Faith Promise is made between the believer and the Lord. The believer looks to the Lord "in faith" asking how much he would have the believer give then promises to give as the Lord directs.
What is the biblical basis of a Faith Promise?
Faith Promise giving makes us channels of blessing. In his covenant with Abraham, God said that through Abraham's descendants, "all peoples of the earth would be blessed." (Genesis 12:3) A Faith Promise is a way of passing on the blessing. Though a Faith Promise is optional, it does clearly demonstrate our love (Philippians 2:1-4; Luke 6:38, Romans 12:9-10).
Is a "Faith Promise" the same as a pledge?
No, a pledge is a legal and binding agreement to pay. The Faith Promise is a promise made directly with the Lord, and it is dependent on the Lords supply. If at the end of the year God has not enabled the person to meet their Faith Promise commitment, the matter is only between that person and the Lord.
We encourage our supporters to make a monthly Faith Promise but how and when is entirely between you and the Lord.
